If its true that the average American will move 15 times in a lifetime, then I guess I've had about as many studios. Spare rooms,
garages, barns, rentals, lofts and now a great new industrial space that is really comfortabe. It has great light, privacy, parking,
ground floor access and plenty of space. And most important its affordable. Not NYC but close and in the country.
I wonder sometimes how this has affected my work. Some painters such as Monet and the impressionists worked in little hotel rooms
and moved constantly. Monet finally found his place in Giverney and never left. Others either had homes, money or just kept moving from space to space. I guess its all grist for the mill as they say. But just like painting, its a journey. I think I'll stay put for awhile.
I would love to hear some other's thoughts on this subject.
