The only painting from My Italian trip done outside of Umbria

I am painting in California Wine country, but having trouble uploading new image. So enjoy this vinyard painting done in Tuscany, its the cl;osest I've ever seen to the Calfornia wine country in Sonoma!

This was a painitng done from atop the piazza in Montecastello. The light is early and is just starting to burn off

This drawing of A VC prisoner was done in the field while waiting for a chopper to come in take him out. I was with FCo 2nd Bn 1st marines at the time. The guys are meeting this week in Nashville, but having had a hip repalcement just three weeks ago, I am gona miss seeing them. This just to let them know that I am there in spirit. I painted this from Rt 9 above Statsburg, NY
It was a cold day with gathering clouds, but it didnt snow. I was cold when I finished it, but had a thermos of Hot Chocolate 

in the truck. One of my favorite painting Buddies, Rob Hacunda, has a complete "mini stove" that he takes along in his Van. Since he paints allot in the Adirondaks, its a good idea.

Most of my recent work is concerned with reflections in water.  This and other paintings will be on exhibit at Shahinian Fine Art in Rhinebeck, NY opening Feb 16, 5-8 pm.
